This Policy was prepared by and used solely by GLE Analytical Laboratory.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services provided by GLE Analytical Laboratory, LLC (“GLE,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By submitting samples, requesting services, or engaging with GLE in any capacity, the Customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

GLE provides environmental laboratory testing services for private companies, government agencies, and individuals. All services are performed in accordance with GLE’s laboratory defined methods and/or within GLE’s accredited scope under AIHA LLP, LLC. GLE does not provide legal, engineering, health and safety, industrial hygiene, risk assessment or consulting services unless expressly agreed to in writing. GLE does not determine regulatory compliance or non-compliance.

2. Sample Submission & Chain of Custody

Customers are responsible for providing accurate, complete and timely information to GLE in order to perform laboratory services, including:

GLE may reject samples that are unsafe, improperly collected, improperly preserved, improperly documented, outside holding times, or otherwise unsuitable for analysis.

GLE is not responsible for delays, inaccuracies, compromised data quality, or invalid results resulting from incomplete or inaccurate customer-provided information. Customer agrees to indemnify and hold GLE harmless from claims arising from the nature, condition, misrepresentation, or legality of submitted samples.

3. Authorization to Proceed

Submission of samples, issuance of a purchase order, written or electronic acceptance of a quotation, or verbal/email authorization constitutes authorization for GLE to perform services and acceptance of these Terms.

4. Turnaround Times

Turnaround times are estimates and may vary due to sample complexity, matrix effects, volume, method requirements, holding times, instrument availability, or unforeseen circumstances. Holding times take precedence over requested turnaround times. Rush surcharges may apply.

GLE is not liable for delays outside its control, including courier delays, equipment failure, power outages, or force majeure events.

5. Communication and Availability

Customers must remain reasonably available to respond to requests for clarification, project updates, regulatory questions, and billing matters. Failure to respond may delay services or result in analytical assumptions made at GLE’s discretion.

6. Reporting, Deliverables and Use of Results

GLE provides results in the form of an Analytical Report. Reports:

GLE does not guarantee acceptance of results by regulatory authorities and is not responsible for decisions or actions based on results. Expert support or interpretation requires separate written agreement.

Records are retained according to AIHA LAP, LLC requirements. After the retention period, records are securely destroyed. Customers must request records before destruction.

GLE’s total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific services giving rise to the claim.

GLE maintains confidentiality except where disclosure is required by law, accreditation bodies, or authorized in writing by the Customer.

10. Sample Disposal

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, samples are disposed of after the retention period. Hazardous samples may incur disposal fees. Return of samples must be arranged in advance and is not guaranteed.

11. Amendments

GLE may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms apply prospectively and will be available upon request or via GLE’s website.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Exclusive venue lies in state or federal courts within Illinois.

13. Force Majeure

GLE is not liable for failure or delay due to causes beyond its control, including natural disasters, pandemics, labor disputes, equipment failure, or transportation disruptions.

14. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement unless otherwise agreed in writing.
